Add automations to every stage in your pipeline

When you’re hiring for several roles at once, the same tasks come round again and again: emailing each candidate who reaches a stage, and rejecting the ones who’ve sat in review for weeks. You can now add automations to any stage in a pipeline template, so Join sends the email or the rejection as soon as a candidate qualifies. You set the rules once, and every job using that template follows them.
Build pipeline and automations on one canvas
You can now define every step of your hiring process, and what happens at each one, from one place. Pipeline templates open as a canvas with all your stages in view. Click any stage to set its name and stage type, choose an automation and fill in its details, all in the side panel.

Send emails when candidates reach a stage
You can set email automations so that candidates hear from you as soon as they reach a stage, whether that’s a thank-you for applying or the details of their next step. Add up to three ‘Send email’ automations to any stage, from ‘Applied’ through to ‘Hired’. Your email is sent to every candidate who matches the automation’s conditions, without writing each message manually.

Add email template
Pick any of your existing email templates and preview it before you save. Need something new? Create a template right there, without leaving your pipeline.

Configure send time
Add a delay before delivery, or send on business days only.
Reject applications that have gone quiet

Applications that sit in review for weeks leave candidates waiting and bury the ones you still want to look at. Set a time limit on your review stage, so candidates still there when it runs out are rejected and receive your rejection email automatically. Every candidate gets an answer, and your review list stays focused on people you’re still considering.
Check what’s coming up for each candidate
You always know what’s about to go out, and to whom. Each candidate’s profile lists their upcoming emails and rejections under ‘Pending activities’, where you can send one straight away or cancel it. When you’re managing applications in your pipeline, a ⚡ icon marks every stage with automations, so you can see at a glance what moving a candidate will trigger.
