Gross fixed salary per year for a first-time supervisory or deputy front desk role (1 to 3 years in a management or deputy capacity, typically after 2 to 4 years as a front-desk agent or shift lead) at a German SMB hotel, usually advertised as Assistant or Deputy Front Desk Manager. Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Berlin pull the range up, in line with the mid-level band; rural regions and the East pull it down. A house with a 24-hour front desk and night duty, or a 4 or 5-star concept, sits at the top of the range; a small independent house with a single shift pattern sits at the bottom. As at mid-level, special payments and shift or night supplements are common depending on the house, structurally outside the fixed salary.
