Gross fixed salary per year for a junior Account Executive (1 to 3 years of experience, typically including a prior SDR or BDR stint before moving into a first closing seat) at a German SMB. SaaS scale-up profiles in Berlin or Munich trend toward the top of the range (44-48 k€ fixed); classic Mittelstand sales profiles (industry, wholesale, services) sit closer to 32-36 k€. The variable split stays close to the mid-level ratio (see Variable compensation); the gap to mid-level shows up mainly in the fixed amount and in the size of the quota carried, not in the base/variable structure. Note: many companies still list this seat as Junior Sales Consultant or Vertriebsmitarbeiter:in B2B rather than Account Executive.
