Spot the difference

Writing job ads is hard work, especially now we’re living within such a fast paced and exponential society. What’s the difference between a Graphic Designer and a Visual Designer, anyway? Do Product Designers do essentially the same tasks that a UX Designer does?

In short; Graphic Designers engage users, UX Designers drive sales, and Product Designers drive the Design ship.

  • Graphic Designers focus on developing digital concepts to encourage a target audience to make a specific action. They are usually focused on static designs and can work across a broad range of teams and tasks. 
  • UX Designers create and develop systems that drive tech-focused interactive products and work on improving the User Experience (hence the phrase UX, get it?) 
  • A Visual Designer is someone that is focused on the look and feel of a product and brand identity.
  • Product Designers focus on the product itself and plan a design for the entire product. 
  • Digital Designers are more interested in moving parts such as animations and interactive pages.

Requirements

· 2+ years experience in Visual Design or a similar role, preferably in a fast paced start-up scene.
· A beautiful portfolio that shows off your creativity and passion.
· Experience in using drawing applications to design original graphics.
· Knowledge in using an array of design software including InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Coreldraw, Photoshop, Figma and Sketch.
· Experience in creating animations for projects like explainer videos and interactive graphics.
· An excellent sense of aesthetics, a great passion for design, you love what you do!
· You have a near fluent command of the English language, any other languages are a bonus.
