This leadership role involves overseeing the tax management functions, managing the tax team, and playing a crucial role in major restructuring and acquisition transactions.

Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining comprehensive group tax standards, guidelines, and processes.
- Implementing and managing sophisticated tax monitoring tools to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Supporting interdepartmental and cross-border cooperation and data sharing.
- Creating and overseeing a tax community for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Monitoring legislation and preparing the organization for new directives.
- Supporting the automation and harmonization of tax processes, including D365 implementation.
- Conducting quarterly reviews of tax positions and effective tax rates (ETR).
- Coordinating and managing tax audits to ensure full compliance with regulations.
- Handling the coordination of withholding tax (WHT) and processing dividend distributions.
- Overseeing VAT compliance and ensuring efficiency across various countries.
- Monitoring and evaluating the pricing of intercompany (IC) transactions.
- Leading the tax aspects of significant transactions and providing support to group tax operations in smaller countries.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for tax-efficient structuring.
- Implementing EU directives and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Identifying, monitoring, and mitigating tax risks.
- Coordinating the efforts of local tax experts and managing the international tax budget.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Tax Director or similar senior tax role in a multinational corporation, preferably within real estate.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of international and domestic tax laws and regulations.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing tax teams across different jurisdictions.
- Strategic Implementation: Ability to develop and implement tax policies and strategies that align with business objectives.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Technical skills: Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office.
- Education: Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
