Our respected Client, a leading European real estate investment, development, and management company, is looking for a Design and Development Director.

About Role:

The Head of Design and Development oversees the entire portfolio, encompassing both industrial and urban projects.

Pre-construction Oversight:

• Lead all pre-construction phases, including:

1. Site due diligence.
2. Permitting.
3. Land preparation.

• Conduct technical due diligence and development studies with internal teams.

Design and Permitting:

• Oversee design and permitting processes:

1. Ensure documentation is complete and regulatory compliant.
2. Coordinate with in-house and external teams to align designs with client requirements.

Project Coordination:

• Ensure projects move from planning to construction efficiently:

1. Maintain communication with authorities, landowners, and stakeholders.
2. Secure necessary permits and approvals.

Innovation and Compliance:

• Update and maintain building specifications:

1. Reflect current standards and technologies.
2. Implement improvements for sustainability, cost-efficiency, and project functionality.

Budget and Tendering:

• Manage budget preparation and tendering processes:

1. Review bids and negotiate with suppliers.
2. Ensure on-site work meets quality and consistency standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and development within the real estate or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of local, regional, and national design and permitting processes and regulations in the Czech Republic.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Czech and English languages.
