Tasks
- Design and update 3D CAD models for part assemblies in Drive-by-Wire (DbW) systems.
- Create mechanical designs for sensors, actuators, and component mountings, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Continuously improve the design and installation processes to enhance system safety and performance.
- Install and integrate components such as sensors, actuators, and computer hardware into vehicles.
- Develop and maintain a Bill of Materials (BOM) with detailed specifications for components and suppliers.
- Collaborate with the team to improve safety and efficiency in vehicle component installation and manufacturing processes.
- Work cross-functionally to identify and define DbW system requirements.
- Ensure mechanical systems comply with relevant industry standards.
- Support the testing and validation of autonomous vehicle solutions.
- Document designs, processes, and test results comprehensively.
Requirements
- A degree in Automotive, Industrial Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Solid understanding of automotive systems and in-vehicle solutions.
- Proven experience in mechanical design and hands-on installation work.
- Knowledge of mechatronics and its applications in mechanical systems.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to travel when necessary.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

- Genuine enthusiasm for autonomous driving technology and related innovations.
- Welding skills and knowledge of sensors.
- Experience in the automotive industry, particularly mechanical systems.
- A strong portfolio of real-life achievements and successful deliveries.
- Familiarity with mechanical design processes and mechatronic systems.
- Experience with agile development methods.
- Prior knowledge of ISO26262 and safe design principles.
- A valid driver’s license.
- German language skills.
