About the role
As an Engineering Manager for our software engineers, you will help us grow as an organization by working with your engineers in developing our products and their careers. A primary focus will be on coaching and leading your engineers and working on their career development. Together with product management and product design, you’ll be actively involved in shaping the product team's culture, collaboration, and software delivery process. You'll lead by example, fostering a culture of open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement. By doing the above, you play a crucial role in the success of the product, together with the rest of the product team.
What you'll do
- Provide your engineers a clear direction, set an example for self-awareness, motivation and compassion, making sure that communication within the product team is candid. Demonstrate leadership by aligning the product team, help your engineers to make informed technical decisions, and improve our software development processes.
- Align your engineers' personal development goals with the company's objectives. Track progress, provide constructive feedback, and support them in achieving growth.
- You provide your engineers with the guidance and support they need to succeed in their roles. You will assess the skills of your engineers and help them develop training and educational plans, based on their needs.
- Ensure your engineers understand how their contributions impact the product, and that we keep our commitments. This may also involve planning activities, delegating tasks, defining responsibilities, monitoring progress, and escalating issues. You address issues and drive continuous improvement in performance and productivity.
- In coordination with the product team and in alignment with your other duties, you will contribute to the development of our products.
- As part of a growing organization, you play a key role in continuously enhancing our processes, policies, and ways of working. You proactively identify areas for improvement and take action by testing new ideas in areas like hiring and onboarding, team events, or performance reviews.

- Care about personal relationships as much as you care about well-written and maintainable code.
- The drive to shape the way we work and is proactive in solving problems.
That said, we’d be particularly delighted to hire someone with
- The ability to engage conflicts constructively and find consensus, but can also disagree and commit to make progress.
- Strong communication skills who’s actively giving and seeking constructive and well-intended feedback.
