We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our new office in Slovakia as the Chief of Power Department. Our candidate possess an extensive background in power engineering, with demonstrated leadership skills to effectively manage and oversee the department’s operations. A strategic thinker, the candidate has advanced problem-solving abilities and a comprehensive understanding of current industry trends. The successful candidate is expected to uphold the highest standards of excellence, innovation, and operational efficiency.

Tasks

  • Lead the design, engineering, and optimization of power generation for waste-to-energy projects;
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from conceptual design to commissioning and operation;
  • Manage a team of heat, power, electrical, and automation engineers;
  • Ensure high efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in power generation solutions;
  • Collaborate with equipment providers to select and integrate optimal technologies;
  • Manage grid interface requirements and ensure seamless power system integration;
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and best practices;
  • Oversee commissioning, testing, and performance validation of power plants;
  • Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to optimize project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field;
  • Minimum 10 years in power plant design, engineering, and commissioning;
  • Strong knowledge of power generation technologies, grid integration, and electrical design. Familiarity with waste-to-energy solutions is a plus;
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines, and proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools;
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
