Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned GoLang Architect with 12+ years of IT experience and a strong background in designing and delivering scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate brings at least 8+ years of enterprise software development experience in Java or C#, with recent hands-on GoLang expertise, and is ready to take architectural ownership on a high-visibility project.
This is a full-time, on-site role in Austin, Texas, offering technical leadership opportunities, career growth, and potential international exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture, design, and hands-on development of GoLang-based backend systems
- Own sprint execution and task delivery in alignment with Agile practices
- Collaborate closely with product owners, U.S.-based technical leads, and global stakeholders
- Guide and review solution design, system integration, and code quality across the team
- Ensure performance, security, and scalability across services
- Maintain continuous communication on progress, risks, and technical decisions
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience in software development
- 8+ years in enterprise environments using Java or C#
- 5+ years of hands-on GoLang development experience
- Expertise in OAuth authentication, secure module implementation, and cloud-native security best practices
- Proven experience designing and building robust RESTful APIs and working within Microservices architecture
- Strong background with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Proficiency in GoLang tooling (Godep, Sltr, code generators)
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Identity Management (IDM) solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience leading architecture and code reviews for large-scale distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, API versioning, and performance optimization
- Ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional team goals
