IT Support Specialist - Onsite (f/m/d)

Employee
Software Development

Are you someone who loves helping others and making technology work smoothly? Do you enjoy being the first point of contact when something breaks and solving everyday IT issues with a smile? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our Berlin office and support our team with daily IT operations, onboarding new employees, and ensuring everyone has the tools and hardware they need to work effectively.

This is a hands-on, structured role with clear tasks, ideal for someone with first IT experience (e.g. from a working student or a customer service background with technical flair) and offers room to grow with us over time.

What You’ll Do

  • First Point of Contact: Be the first line of support for IT-related questions and issues in the office and occasionally for remote employees.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Support new joiners and leavers by preparing laptops, setting up accounts, and following detailed checklists.
  • IT Support Tickets: Handle day-to-day support requests ranging from “my mouse isn’t working” to resolving software access issues.
  • Equipment Management: Order, distribute, and manage IT equipment like laptops, adapters, and headsets, ensuring everything is ready when needed.
  • Inventory Maintenance: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT assets and ensure devices are returned, recycled, or reassigned as required.
  • Basic IT Operations: Use predefined guides to reset passwords, perform system updates, and uphold standard IT hygiene practices.
  • Process Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to ensure adherence to existing processes and contribute to continuous improvement (without owning major changes as of now).
  • Event Support: Support the setup and takedown of office events, because a smooth tech setup makes for a better team experience.

What You Won’t Do (Yet)

  • Build workflows, automate systems, or run IT projects
  • Be expected to “figure it all out alone”, you’ll work within a structured framework
  • Take on deep system administration or network engineering tasks

What You Bring

  • You have a strong customer-first mindset and have worked in IT support, customer service, or a similar hands-on environment.
  • You are a friendly and clear communicator who enjoys helping others and explaining tech in simple, understandable terms.
  • You have basic IT knowledge. You've set up devices, understand the difference between Mac and Windows, and can confidently follow technical guides.
  • You are structured, reliable, and like to work through checklists to make sure everything is done properly and on time.
  • You are available to work 5 days a week onsite in our Berlin office and thrive in an environment where people rely on your presence.

Why This Role Matters

You’ll make sure every new joiner feels welcome, every device works, and the team can rely on someone who just gets things done. You’ll be the calm in the chaos when someone’s laptop dies, and the reason things don’t fall through the cracks.

Why Join Us?

  • Autonomy: We want to hire you because of your expertise and knowledge, and we'll give you the space to do your best work
  • Impact: Make a real impact in a post-merge set-up and use your expertise to help us build scalable processes
  • Growth: Wherever you want to take your career, we’ll support you along the way
  • Learning & Development: A €2,000 annual learning budget to invest in your skills
  • Work-life balance: 32 paid vacation days per year
  • Onsite first: with a beautiful office in Berlin Friedrichshain, we believe that frequent, in-person interactions are an important part of our team culture
  • Free Lunch: one free lunch per week, with the option to purchase a second meal at a discounted rate through Bella & Bona.
  • Mental health support: Access to the Nilo.health platform for therapy sessions + 1 mental health day per year
  • Perks & benefits: Memberships like Urban Sports Club, JobRad, or a subsidized BVG ticket
  • Dog-friendly office: Because furry coworkers make everything better!
