Currently, we’re experiencing a phase of significant change and challenging expansion with the People Team playing a crucial role in the overall success of our organisation and the well-being of our employees. Following a successful acquisition last year, the goal of our People Operations Team is to support our most important asset: dedicated and ambitious Shiftmovers. We aim to achieve this by creating and maintaining a positive, productive and transparent workplace environment where our employees can thrive.
You'll be a key player of administrative HR work at Shiftmove, as you are responsible for the people-related core topics: managing our employee data, contract management, day-to-day support as well as onboarding and off-boarding topics. You will be in active exchange with our employees acting as a trusted sparring partner and expert on People Operations topics.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Run and improve HR operations across Germany, France, and globally, including onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits, contracts, and offboarding
- Ensure compliance across regions, especially with German and French labour law, by translating legal requirements into scalable, practical policies
- Streamline processes and systems, driving automation, efficiency, and clean HR data for better decision-making
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, Talent Acquisition, and HRBPs to deliver integrated people operations
- Support employees and managers with operational guidance and labour law expertise combining structure with empathy
Who You Are
- You have several years of experience in HR/People Operations in a fast-paced international environment (ideally a scale-up or startup).
- You’ve worked with modern HRIS tools (e.g. Personio, HiBob, BambooHR) and enjoy working digitally
- You’re structured, proactive, and solution-oriented, someone who drives improvements, not just manages tasks
- You’re excited about the details, the systems, and the people balancing compliance with empathy
- You’re fluent in German, French, and English, and confident working in a trilingual environment
- You thrive in teams that value honesty, transparency, ownership, and kindness.
