The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive product awareness, market penetration, and revenue growth within the Northern Region and surrounding territories. The role focuses on promoting pharmaceutical products ethically and in compliance with regulatory standards while building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors, pharmacies, hospitals, and key stakeholders.
The Marketing Manager will lead regional marketing efforts, coordinate sales campaigns, analyze market trends, and ensure brand visibility across assigned territories.
Tasks
2.1 Strategic Marketing & Planning
- Develop and implement regional marketing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and competitor activities.
- Develop annual marketing plans, budgets, and promotional calendars
- Monitor product performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
2.2 Product Promotion & Brand Management
- Promote pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals (Doctors, Pharmacists, Hospitals, Clinics).
- Organize product launches, medical presentations, and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure all marketing materials comply with regulatory and ethical standards.
- Maintain strong brand positioning within the region.
2.3 Sales & Distribution Support
- Work closely with the Sales Team to drive revenue targets.
- Support distributor engagement and retail pharmacy expansion.
- Monitor stock availability and distribution performance in the region.
- Provide field marketing support and territory coverage planning.
2.4 Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the company at industry events and medical conferences.
2.5 Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and product trends.
- Analyze sales data and prepare monthly performance reports.
- Provide insights to management for product improvement and positioning.
2.6 Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and ethical marketing standards.
- Maintain proper documentation for promotional approvals.
- Coordinate with regulatory affairs where necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or related field.
- MBA or professional marketing qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in pharmaceutical marketing or healthcare product promotion
- Proven track record in regional market development.
- Experience working with hospitals, pharmacies, and distributors in Northern Ghana is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
