People Planner/Distribution Planner- Part-time 25-30 hours

At Picnic, we’re on a mission to revolutionise grocery delivery. As a People Planner, you play a vital role in creating effective and balanced weekly schedules for our Runners, who ensure every order reaches our customers on time. Your job is to make sure all Runners, across all countries, know exactly when they work each week—helping to keep both employees and customers happy.

You’ll contribute to a key operational process that ensures smooth deliveries while shaping a positive employee experience at Picnic. Using our in-house developed scheduling algorithm, you’ll strike the perfect balance between operational efficiency and employee preferences.

• Create weekly schedules for our employees based on their availability and current demand forecast
• Make a significant contribution to the satisfaction of our employees
• Develop creative solutions to capacity & planning challenges

• Monday: 3 hours
• Wednesday: 8 hours
• Thursday: 8 hours
• Friday: 8 hours

⭐ About You

• You have a Bachelor’s degree(or currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters) in Business Administration, Human Resources, Logistics, or a related field, or have gained equivalent practical experience.
• You are passionate about logistics, workforce planning, and creating a positive employee experience.
• You have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing priorities.
• You enjoy collaborating with people and have excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues and employees effectively.
• Eye for detail and analytical skills
• You are confident using Excel/Google Sheets to organise and visualise schedules and data.
• Familiarity with programming (e.g., AppScript, Python, or Javascript) is a bonus but not required
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German or French is a plus, as it helps connect with our diverse teams across countries
