Tasks
Activities you will participate in
- Perform and support upstream (fermentation) and downstream processing activities.
- Work with pilot-scale bioreactors, upstream and downstream pilot-scale equipment and utilities.
- Support in performing, improving and developing analytical methods (colorimetric, HPLC, microbiology and enzymatic methods).
- Data analysis, visualization, and reporting of experimental results.
- Be actively involved in our ongoing product and process development & optimization projects.
- Enroll in our Pilot & Lab Organization and Excellence program.
- Participate in overall lab and pilot management activities such as lab cleaning, pilot upkeep and equipment maintenance.
- Follow the SOPs and policies in place and suggest continuous improvement actions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, biochemical or bioprocess engineering, or related fields.
- Familiarity with bioreactor fermentations (industrial or university).
- Technical/Scientific knowledge about biotech-related analytical methods is a plus.
- Analytical and creative thinking.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.
- Passion about sustainability and improving our food system.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
