The position and your daily adventures
We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Credit Team. This role focuses on boosting productivity and streamlining the deployment of ML models, particularly credit scoring models. This is a full-time position based in our Mexico City office with a hybrid model, therefore we are looking forward to seeing you in our office 2-3 times per week. However, we are also open to fully remote candidates residing within Mexico.

What you can expect:

• Infrastructure Management: Manage and automate cloud infrastructure to support machine learning and credit scoring. Work directly on Terraform for efficient infrastructure as code, ensuring configurations align with Klar's practices and meet our needs for scalability and reliability.
• Service Deployment and Maintenance: Set up, deploy, and manage services, focusing on real-time data streaming and scoring pipelines. Use Docker, Kubernetes and AWS services to ensure consistent deployments across environments.
• Real-Time Data Management: Manage Kafka clusters, including topic creation and service integration, to power real-time scoring pipelines. Your work will drive robust data flow for reliable credit assessments.
• Tooling and Automation: Develop Python-based tools and integrations to enhance infrastructure capabilities and support microservices, real-time scoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Security and Compliance: Implement best practices in security and compliance as you manage infrastructure and data, ensuring all setups align with company and industry standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the machine learning and credit infrastructure teams, understanding their needs to enhance our platform and reduce dependencies on other teams. Familiarity with machine learning concepts is a plus for aligning infrastructure with evolving requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
• 5 years of professional experience with a focus on cloud infrastructure, DevOps and Python.
• Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, including user management, permissions, and configurations, with a strong expertise in Terraform.
• Advanced knowledge of containerization and experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling.
• Kafka and real-time data management experience, with a focus on setting up Kafka clusters and managing topics.
• Strong Python skills to support the development of infrastructure tools and automations.
• Service deployment and CI/CD expertise, especially for real-time data streaming and scoring pipelines.
• Excellent collaboration skills for working with various teams to support machine learning and credit infrastructure.
