For an international-multilingual company, located in Prague, we are looking for an International VAT Specialist with fluent English.
Tasks
- Create, review and approve international VAT returns for the European companies
- Act as central point of contact for local company colleagues with respect to European VAT compliance
- Promote VAT awareness, including knowledge sharing within the company Group
- Be accountable for the complete, accurate and on-time reporting of VAT obligations, i.e. monthly and yearly VAT returns, Intrastat, EC sales listing, of the personally maintained companies.
- Maintain accurate VAT accounts through reconciliations and VAT postings.
- Be the go-to person for the internal colleagues with respect to VAT reporting topics.
- Contribute to various VAT projects and support VAT audits with the company Group Tax.
- Monitoring the quality VAT data and reports.
- Review function for VAT declarations handled by other team members (dual control principle).Coaching / Knowledge sharing with new team members and VAT relevant departments
Requirements
- Min. 2-3 years of experience with Indirect Tax compliance/Accounting/Finance
- University or Secondary education in Economics / Tax / Accounting / Finance or Audit
- Professionally qualified with expertise in VAT with working knowledge of indirect tax
- F&A process understanding & accounting knowledge
- Very good command of English, another language is a plus
- MS Excel – intermediate, SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Very good communication skills, ability to work independently, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Drive and ambition to deliver on commitment under high-pressure circumstances in a demanding dynamic and international environment
