The role:
Heavnn is a startup providing a Global Tax Management platform to location-independent workers (digital nomads, expatriates, business travelers…) and online businesses.
We’re looking for a Tax & Compliance Operations Specialist to be a central contributor to the regulatory backbone of our product, shaping how Heavnn supports online businesses and location-independent workers.
You will play a key role in enhancing the power of our tax technology solution and making Heavnn a best-selling app.
Tasks
Why do we need you?
As our Tax & Legal Operations specialist you will take over the responsibility of being the “tax brain”.
Your missions will be articulated around two angles:
Domain referent (Tax, Legal & Compliance)
- Acting as the internal referent for global mobility topics, with a strong focus on tax and compliance.
- Analyzing tax, legal, and social security frameworks across the jurisdictions covered by Heavnn.
- Structuring and maintaining country-specific regulatory knowledge in a scalable and usable way.
- Designing and validating tax and setup scenarios.
- Supporting premium clients through expert guidance when required.
- Providing subject-matter support to business, sales, and marketing initiatives.
- Contributing to the creation of technical content and internal documentation.
- Building the tax & legal function at Heavnn, creating awareness, and animating your topic internally.
Product ownership
- Owning the regulatory dimension of the product in coordination with business and technical stakeholders.
- Translating tax and compliance requirements into clear product logic and functional specifications.
- Contributing to the definition and prioritization of the product roadmap.
- Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability of product outputs.
- Collaborating with external experts and partners to validate and enrich the product.
- Continuously identifying opportunities to improve and evolve the product.

Requirements
What will you need to be successful in the role?
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Business, Law (with a focus on tax or business law), Economics, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience in a highly relevant role.
- 3–7 years of experience in a role related to global mobility taxation, international tax, legal or compliance operations, or product management for a regulated / tax technology product.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and reason across at least two different legal, regulatory or tax systems.
- Strong ability to structure complex topics into clear processes and logic.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data, scenarios, and assumptions.
- Fluency in English (C1/C2), spoken and written.
- High ownership mindset: comfortable being the single point of responsibility for a domain.
- Bold, pragmatic, and curious — you enjoy operating outside of predefined frameworks.
- You’re a fast learner and you know how to get yourself up-to-speed on new topics.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working with an early-stage tech product or in a founding context is a plus.
- Spanish, French, or German is a plus.
- Previous experience in a tech-driven environment, or strong curiosity for technology, coding, and/or modern tools.
