Your Tasks:

• Team Leadership: Manage and Mentor 3 SCRUM Teams, ensuring collaboration and a focus on delivering high-quality solutions. Your role will balance the delivery speed with the high standards our customers' and Finmatics' expectations.
• Architectural Leadership: Guide the growth of our SaaS platform architecture to ensure scalability, alignment and performance. You will play a hands-on role in solving architectural challenges, particularly in cloud-native and machine learning based systems.
• Build up new SCRUM Teams: Identify top-talent and integrate as well as shape Teams.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Management Directors, Product, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing to align Engineering priorities with business goals.
• Operational Involvement: You will be actively involved in day-to-day engineering operations, including making key technical decisions and leading Teams in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• KPIs & Accountability: Responsibility for overall performance of the engineering department, measuring success through KPIs such as deadlines and delivery targets from our OKR system.

We are looking for someone who has:

• 10+ years of experience in Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in leading Teams in a SaaS environment, preferably B2B
• Experience with scaling engineering Teams in high-growth environments
• Hands-on experience with modern web technologies like Python, Django and cloud-based architectures
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms and scalable SaaS systems to contribute directly to technical decision-making and problem-solving
• Experience with machine learning architectures and integration into SaaS products is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to align engineering efforts with business needs
• Ability to balance short-term business delivery with long-term technical investments
• Fluent in English; German B2+ is a bonus

• The minimum salary for this position is € 80,000 p.a. - over payment possible depending on qualifications
