Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer - Shenzhen based
This is a remote role based in Shenzhen, China
Tasks
- Working with SoC vendors on the development of Bragi enabled FW to support Bragi AI Audio applications
- Prototyping, integration and development of drivers and components of the low-level software stack in C for Bragi's embedded software platform
- Developing unit and integration tests to verify software integrity using C and Python
- Requirements analysis :
- Feature support of a SoC vendor
- Identify gaps between the vendors offering and Bragi's support and vise versa
- Support the SoC vendor in the development of the Bragi FW extensions (RPC protocol)
- FW Integration and validation with the Bragi Mobile applications
- Support the communication between the customer and Bragi's R&D in Europe, identify and resolve blockers
- Collaborating with the Mobile team to ensure compatibility between the Firmware and Mobile platform applications
- Design, implement and improve the support processes
- Support ODMs and test engineers (ODM, at Bragi) as part of the "Bragi certification program"
Requirements
- +5 years experience as Embedded Engineer
- Strong C and Python coding skills, in particular for embedded systems
- Experience in design, development and debugging low-level software on embedded targets
- Knowledge of common peripheral interfaces like SPI, UART, I2C, I2S and USB.
- Experience in reading sensor datasheets and implementing drivers
- Native Mandarin speaker with strong English reading and writing skills (suitable for engineering work), and a decent level of spoken English is mandatory
Nice to have:
- Experience with Bluetooth or other wireless communications protocols
- Exposure to Android or iOS mobile development
- Familiarity with logic-analyzers, oscilloscopes and power measurement equipment
