YMCA Yorkshire Coast

YMCA Yorkshire Coast is a local charity supporting children, young people and communities across Scarborough and the Yorkshire Coast. We provide opportunities for people to feel safe, belong, and build confidence through youth work, community activities and targeted support. We also run community spaces that bring people together, including a theatre, a café and flexible studios for local groups. We work in partnership with schools, voluntary organisations and public services to respond to local need, reduce isolation and help people thrive.

Our mission is to ensure everyone has the chance to discover who they are and who they can become. We do this by creating safe, welcoming places and delivering practical support that helps people build confidence, skills and positive relationships. We focus on children and young people, but our work benefits whole families and the wider community. We aim to reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and widen opportunity, especially for those facing barriers or disadvantage. We work with partners to respond to local need and to deliver services that are inclusive, respectful and rooted in our communities.
