Senior Data Engineer - Rome

We are seeking an enthusiastic Data engineer who is excited to jump into the realm of Data Management and Data Quality.

Oversee the data pipelines and ensure alignment with data governance, quality and compliance standards, in line with the approved data architecture

Design, update & maintain data lineage & dictionary along with data analyst, in relevant systems – in collaboration with IT asset owners and the IT Unit

Develop and test DQ controls and remediation actions in testing environment and propose tested solutions for implementation to the responsible asset owners

Perform data manipulation and transformation in testing environment to support the achievement of data governance objectives and requirements

Establish data governance standards and best practices for data quality and security, including the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and architecture

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering Area. Consulting and banking experience is preferred
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Economics or related discipline. Master’s Degree will be considered as an asset
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably Azure Infrastructure (Azure Data Warehouse, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks & Microsoft Purview)
• Strong Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python) proficiency in database management, strong skills in developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines
• Knowledge of Data Architecture, design and implementing new data structures would be an asset
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
