Nexist is looking for a dynamic bookkeeper to join their team of A players.

Tasks

What’s expected from you?
Working closely with the CFO and clients, you will be responsible for delivering high quality financial reporting and providing critical insights to influence commercial outcomes. Specifically, your role will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of the monthly accounts
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects
  • BAS, Payroll, End of Month Accounts, Bank recs, and general Bookkeeping.
  • Client and practice bookkeeping tasks.
  • Accounts Receivables and Payables
  • Preparation and completion of Business Activity Statements.
  • Produce financial reports using Xero
  • End to end payroll processing
  • Customer service

Requirements

Who exactly are we looking for?

The successful applicant will hold a qualification in bookkeeping or accounting and have sound experience in a complex commercial organisation. Your interpersonal and communication skills should be good, allowing you to portray confidence in delivery of your reports and in the development of strong professional relationships with those within and outside of the finance team.

You’ll be an effective communicator enabling you to follow up with customers on a regular basis. This will include being effective in communicating (over the phone and via emails) with the customers in relation to accounts receivables and various other aspects of the job.

You’ll have a great attention to detail and are very effective in taking and following instructions. You’ll be willing to learn to grow your own knowledge and experience while contributing to the organisation.

Why you?

As a minimum, you have:

  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)
  • Advanced Xero skills: 2 - 3 years (Required)
  • Finance/Bookkeeping qualification
  • Hands on experience with accounts receivables and basic collections activity
  • Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid (Doreen and WFH)
