Tasks

  • You will help to care for our children and young people by using your expertise and talents, which you will further develop with our assistance and training.
  • You will build strong bonds with the kids by attending to their needs and making sure they're safe at all times.
  • You will establish both limits and expectations for the young people, as well as construct timelines for them. Having the ability to be consistent and organised is essential.
  • You will come into contact with a wide range of children and young people, some of whom could need a significant amount of adult supervision and assistance.
  • Complete duties on Mentor (training will be provided), as well as ensure that daily logs and handovers are completed.
  • Maintain the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes.
  • Taking care of the practical aspects of childcare, such as preparing meals, cleaning, and doing regular upkeep around the house.
  • Performing administrative tasks and maintaining records in connection with essential working duties and the day-to-day operations of the home as directed by your line manager.
  • Taking responsibility for the maintenance of the company with respect to health and safety and primary care concerns, as well as making independent judgements about the requests and behaviours of specific young people whilst on shift.

Requirements

  • In line with OFSTED regulations, staff members MUST be at least 20 years old
  • You must be able to work in the UK and be able to show documents
  • Children and young people's workforce, Youth Work or an equivalent qualification (Preferred)
  • Relevant experience working with children and young people: 2 years (Preferred)
