The Role

• Collaborate closely with our technology team to develop a generic approach for deriving aircraft performance characteristics from actual drone flight data.
• Analyze recorded flight, specifically from PX4 and potentially other autopilots, to determine which data can be extracted.
• Document the extracted data, interpret it, and map it to corresponding parameters in our simulations.
• Potentially further develop the prototype towards full automation.

Your Profile

• Passionate about aviation, drones, weather data, coding, machine learning, geodata.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Python and experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with autopilot systems and flight data analysis is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Enjoy working in a team and characterized by an appreciative and open attitude.
• Independent, goal-oriented, and proactive in seeking feedback and improvement.
