Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled ESG Copywriter to support our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ESG reporting and communications, with the ability to craft high-quality, compelling content aligned with global ESG standards and frameworks. This role requires a detail-oriented writer who can transform technical ESG information into engaging narratives while meeting project deadlines. This role requires engaging directly with clients to gather information, create case studies, and develop compelling narratives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop clear, concise, and compelling ESG reports, case studies, and related communications materials.
- Ensure all written content aligns with global ESG standards such as ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and IFRS S1/S2.
- Collaborate with consultants and project leads to translate technical ESG data into accessible and impactful language.
- Create engaging copy for ESG disclosures, sustainability strategies, and relevant communication pieces.
- Work closely with design and project management teams to deliver cohesive and high-quality final products.
- Stay informed about the latest ESG trends, regulatory requirements, and reporting best practices to inform content development.
- Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in ESG copywriting, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in ESG reports and corporate sustainability communications.
- Strong understanding of ESG disclosure frameworks, including ISSB, GRI, SASB, TCFD, and IFRS S1/S2.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce both technical and creative content.
- Familiarity with ESG materiality assessments, benchmarking, and stakeholder engagement processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a client-centric, deadline-driven environment.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills, project management, and attention to detail.
- Remote work experience and proficiency with digital collaboration tools
