NexTex AI is a Berlin-based DeepTech startup building the AI vision layer for textile manufacturing. Our platform brings real-time, machine-learning-powered quality control to factory floors that still run on decades-old hardware — no rip-and-replace required. Using a retrofit-capable, machine-agnostic multi-sensor system, we detect fabric defects (needle stripes, elastane distortions, oil stains, stitch irregularities, shade deviations) that human inspectors miss, directly on legacy knitting and weaving machines.
We are a funded company backed by the EXIST programme and the Pro FIT grant (IBB Berlin), and developed together with SRH University as our research partner. We work with real industrial pilot partners across Germany and Turkey, which means real production data, real deployment challenges, and engineering salaries that are already secured not a "maybe if we raise" startup.
If you want to ship computer vision and edge AI that runs in the messy real world instead of a benchmark, this is the place.
To make every textile factory regardless of age or equipment capable of AI-grade quality control and sustainability intelligence. We believe the next wave of industrial AI won't come from new machines, but from making the world's existing machines smarter. We're starting with textiles, an industry responsible for enormous waste, and turning legacy production lines into self-monitoring, data-driven systems.
