As an International Account Executive at Sesamers, you'll be at the forefront of our global expansion, connecting startups with impactful event opportunities. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Finding startups across the globe and identifying key players in diverse international markets.
- Connecting with startups to understand their global growth ambitions and demonstrate how Sesamers can be their strategic partner for international event participation.
- Developing and presenting compelling proposals for booth sales, sponsorships, and other event participation packages.
- Closing deals with startups to secure their participation in events, achieving and exceeding ambitious global sales targets (target: [KPI Metric]: [Target Number]).
- Building and nurturing strong, trust-based relationships with startup clients from various cultural backgrounds.
- Collaborating closely with event organizers worldwide to ensure seamless integration and a positive experience for participating startups.
- Managing sales activities and client interactions within our CRM system, and providing accurate and timely reports.
- Traveling internationally to attend industry events, meet with clients, and build relationships with event organizers (approximately [Percentage] of time).
Requirements
We're looking for a globally-minded sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is passionate about helping startups achieve global success. We'd love you to have:
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience, with a proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience in the international events industry or working with globally expanding startups is a significant advantage.
- A strong understanding of the global startup ecosystem and the challenges and opportunities of international expansion.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt your style to diverse cultural contexts.
- Exceptional relationship-building and client management abilities, emphasizing transparency and building trust across cultures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, cultural sensitivity, and a proactive approach to navigating international business environments.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with a distributed international team.
- Resilience, a global mindset, and a strong drive to meet and exceed ambitious international sales targets.
- Fluency in English is essential; fluency in additional European or Asian languages is highly preferred.
- Experience with sales automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesloft, Lemlist) and familiarity with AI tools for sales (e.g., AI-powered prospecting, lead scoring) is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
