Backend Software Engineer (Intern)

SourceReady is an AI-powered supplier search engine that simplifies global sourcing by connecting businesses with reliable suppliers. Our platform leverages AI, big data, and automation to streamline supplier discovery and vetting, making global procurement more efficient and transparent. We are looking for a Backend Data Engineer Intern to join our team and help build scalable, data-driven solutions that power our AI-driven supplier matching system.

1. Develop and optimize data pipelines for processing supplier and trade data from multiple sources.
2. Work with Azure, Google Cloud and BigQuery to store, manage, and query large-scale datasets efficiently. Implement embedding-based similarity search for improving supplier matching algorithms.
3. Assist in designing and implementing AI-driven data validation methods to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate data processing workflows into SourceReady’s platform.
4. Work with APIs to fetch, clean, and transform global trade and sourcing data.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Willingness to learn and an minimum weekly commitment of 10 hours.
