Senior Data Architect (Freelance)

We are supporting a large-scale IT Transformation Program and are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to join the project team.

Please note: Our customer is based in Hungary. Therefore, we can only consider applications from candidates located within the EU.

• Align data initiatives with overall corporate strategic goals.
• Support the development and execution of a corporate data strategy.
• Lead the definition of target data architecture and roadmap.
• Develop data governance frameworks and data management practices.
• Communicate complex data architecture concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
• Produce clear deliverables such as data migration strategies, reporting and analytics designs, and roadmaps for initiatives.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to data engineers, data modelers, and other technical staff.
• Ensure quality, compliance, and security across all data-related deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with ERP, BI, Integration, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

• Extensive experience as a Data Architect in large-scale transformation programs (ERP background strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage work streams in complex, international environments.
• Strong expertise in data architecture, data modeling, integration, governance, and reporting frameworks.
• Track record in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Hungarian is a plus).
• Availability to work on-site in Budapest.
