Senior SAP S/4Hana Finance/Tax Consultant (Freelance)

We are looking for a SAP S/4Hana Finance/Tax Consultant to join a large-scale SAP S/4HANA deployment program in a global company. The expected duration of the engagement is 6-12months.

• Start: Mid of October 2025
• Duration: 6-12 months (optional for extension)
• Location: Remote, 20% travel to Switzerland, Germany and Hungary
• Workload: 100% (full-time)
• Contract type: Freelance

• Support the Finance Deployment Stream within the S/4HANA Program as a Finance/Tax process specialist.
• Act as subject matter expert for Finance and Tax processes throughout the program.
• Drive and support all project deployment deliverables across the full rollout lifecycle.
• Ensure alignment and progress of parallel deployments and S/4HANA work packages.
• Monitor, optimize and safeguard business processes with focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
• Liaise with key stakeholders across end-to-end business processes to ensure integration and consistency.
• Lead process alignment and solution design workshops with business stakeholders, ensuring compliance with the global template governance.

• Over 8 years of SAP FI consulting experience with strong focus on Tax.
• More than 10 years in business process management and ERP transformation (SAP ERP & S/4HANA), covering all phases from fit/gap analysis to hypercare.
• Deep expertise in SAP Tax for EU and global regions, including Indirect Taxes, Withholding Taxes, Corporate Income Taxes, SAP DRC, and country-specific versions.
• Strong knowledge of EU VAT directives, e-invoicing and reporting compliance.
• Proven track record as Lead Consultant / Stream Lead in multiple international SAP Finance & S/4HANA rollouts.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end Finance & Controlling processes and tax-relevant integration points.
• Experience with additional SAP Tax solutions considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of driving change initiatives and effective decision-making in complex, international environments.
• Strong influencing and communication skills; experienced in managing global stakeholder networks and international teams.
• Agile mindset with practical experience in SCRUM/SAFe and agile delivery.
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
