Interpreter and Cultural Mediator Bengali <> English - Leros, Greece

At Seprotec, we are looking for an interpreter and cultural mediator with the language combination Bengali <> English, for an on-site position in Leros, Greece.

The position will start as soon as possible and will run until 20 January 2027. It is related to migration and asylum contexts, so we are looking for candidates with experience in interpreting and cultural mediation.

It is essential that applicants reside in Leros or are available to relocate and remain on the island for the duration of the position.

Face to face interpreting service with Bengali<>English

• Native or near-native proficiency (C1/C2) in Bengali.
• Strong English communication skills (B2 level).
• Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in interpreting or cultural mediation, preferably in social, humanitarian, asylum, migration, or community settings.
• Currently working as a freelancer.
• Valid driving licence and own vehicle preferred.
• Valid European residence and work permit.
• Based in Leros, Greece.
