In an environment where responsiveness and cost optimization are key, we are looking for a Procurement Specialist capable of managing a portfolio of suppliers, negotiating the best terms, and ensuring efficient procurement for our clients. Independent and organized, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for both managing their own purchasing and working closely with the team to ensure efficient service.
Tasks
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and developing the supplier portfolio
- Regular contact with all current suppliers.
- Seeking new suppliers to challenge price, quality, and service.
- Developing new business relationships and optimizing existing partnerships.
- Optimizing purchasing and supply chain management
- Proposing technical products at the best price and within the specified timeframe.
- Negotiating purchasing conditions and logistical aspects (transportation, delivery times).
- Monitoring deliveries, managing reminders, and organizing export logistics.
- Managing purchasing administration, including document remittances and associated invoicing.
- Collaborating and working independently within the team
- Independently managing the client portfolio (plantations). o Collaborate with the team to share progress, pool orders, organize group shipments, and provide backup in case of absence.
- Operate within a flat hierarchy.
- Supplier and customer visits
- Visits to suppliers and customers, primarily in Asia and Africa.
- The job is 100% onsite
- Travels 20-30 days per year
Requirements
- Education: MBA, certification in purchasing, supply chain, CFC, or equivalent training
- Experience: minimum 5 years, ideally in import-export and technical purchasing
- Experience in purchasing technical equipment (mechanics, spare parts)
- Good understanding of international logistics issues.
- Experience working in Africa or Asia, an asset.
- Native speaker of French and English (C1 level required).
