We're looking for an experienced back-end engineer (m/f/d) to join our portfolio company and develop the full-cycle software development for the product.

In this role, you’ll:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and own the full cycle software development of the product
• Write clean code to develop functional applications
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Manage individual project priorities and deliverables whilst working in a team that enjoys knowledge-sharing sessions
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology

Your Profile

• Excellent communicator both around technical and non-technical people
• Deep knowledge in one of the following modern programming languages: Java, proficiency in Python is a big plus
• Experience in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or BigQuery
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code and make design decisions regarding the architecture of the services that you’ll be implementing
• Familiar with modern CI/CD and developer tooling such as Linters and testing frameworks
• Know what it takes to run distributed systems and have some experience building microservices
• Proactive in suggesting alternative solutions and pushing your ideas

Please note that we are looking for support in the Berlin office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
