We are looking for a __Lead/Sr Backend Engineer__ (m/f/d) - on-site in Cologne, remote in Germany or EU-wide! Maybe we have just found the right person with you? Everything you need to change the real ​football together with us, you will find here:  

## Main information

* __Start:__ Immediately (flexible start)
* __Scope:__ 40 hours (full time)
* __Areas of Responsibility:__ Backend/DevOps
* __Current Tech Stack that we use:__ python (fastapi), PostgreSQL, rabbitmq, pulumi, kubernetes, grafana, AWS, REST API (fastapi), firebase, GitLab (CI), Flutter (for the app)

## Your mission

* You play a key role in setting the direction of our development efforts.
* You take responsibility for the stability, scalability, and security of our services and infrastructure to grow Prematch to become the biggest football platform in Germany.
* You make sure that everyone on the team, including you, can quickly add new features in our backend (REST API) to delight our users.
* You keep our source code and architecture clean to keep us moving at a rapid pace.
* You work closely with our other developers, the CTO, product owners, our growth team, and also our content team. This team is as cross-functional as it gets.

## What do you need

* Experience in development with Python, REST APIs, and SQL (preferably PostgreSQL)
* You build it, you run it mindset
* Software architecture for micro(right-sized)-services
* Experience with cloud native software like kubernetes and grafana

## Advantage but not a must

* Experience with all tools in our Tech Stack
