PowerHouse Texas

In 2021, Texans were hit with a massive natural disaster, Winter Storm Uri, which exposed serious weaknesses in Texas’ power grid. However, the Texas energy market and grid infrastructure are complex systems, and we recognized a need to better prepare public policymakers to make informed decisions on how to mitigate risks and create long-term energy plans for everyday Texans. PowerHouse Texas rose to address both the policy questions in the energy sector and the leadership gap at the state level.
