In a nutshell

At Picnic, we are always looking to create the best shopping experience for our customers, by making it as easy as possible to find the right products, while also inspiring them to try something new. At the design level, there is the continuous challenge of the small design space, as everything must fit in a small screen. The store team is responsible for doing just that: improving the shopping experience, telling Picnic's story and showing the right campaigns at the right time, to make sure customers stick. As a Visual Design Intern, you’ll join a talented team of designers, store managers, promo coordinators, and copywriters. Together, we create engaging campaigns that showcase our assortment and drive conversion. You’ll gain hands-on experience in developing campaign visuals, preparing photoshoots, and contributing to Picnic’s unique visual identity.

  • Learning: Work and learn from experienced designers, photographers and business stakeholders internationally (the Netherlands, Germany & France)
  • Research: Research retail trends and competitor strategies to keep the team informed
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the UX/UI team to create the best experience for our customers

Your Superpowers

  • You’re in the final stages of your HBO or equivalent design studies
  • You have a solid portfolio showcasing your keen eye for detail and creative flair
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma
  • A proactive self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
  • Experience with photoshoots and/or photography editing is a big plus

If you’re ready to bring your creativity to Picnic, we’d love to hear from you!
