You’ll craft optimized schedules for our Runners across multiple countries, ensuring they know exactly when they’re working. Collaborating with teams like Distribution, Growth Operations, and People Ops, you’ll balance operational efficiency, employee preferences, and customer happiness to make sure every order gets delivered on time.

Leveraging the power of data is a big part of Picnic’s DNA. In the team, you will consider the latest forecasts and availability, and use our cutting-edge tools to achieve your tasks. For example, you will build on our in-house developed scheduling algorithm to derive perfectly balanced schedules for all Runners. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and build your skills, all while making a meaningful contribution to our fast-growing, innovative company.

🎯 Your Tasks

  • Create and publish weekly schedules for our international Runners (Drivers), taking into account demand forecast, employee availability and scheduling guidelines
  • Communicate to other departments and jointly develop creative solutions to capacity & planning challenges
  • Maintain and run our tools and dashboards to keep the machine running

  • Monday: 3-8 hours
  • Wednesday: 3-8 hours
  • Thursday: 3-8 hours

⭐ About You

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters) in Business Administration, Human Resources, Logistics, or a related field
  • You have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing priorities. You have an eye for detail and outstanding analytical skills.
  • You enjoy collaborating with people and have excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues and employees effectively.
  • You are confident using Excel/Google Sheets to organise and visualise schedules and data.
  • Familiarity with programming (e.g., AppScript, Python, or Javascript) is a bonus but not required
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German or French is a plus, as it helps connect with our diverse teams across countries.
