- Fritzlar, Kassel or Calden (Hesse)
- Bückeburg, Faßberg or Nordholz (Lower Saxony)
Tasks
As part of the Certifying Staff, you are the backbone of flight safety. You won't just be fixing helicopters; you will be ensuring that complex systems on the world's most advanced models—like the NH90, Tiger, H145M, or the new CH47 Chinook—are mission-ready.
Your core responsibilities:
- Final Certification: Release of maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks according to EASA or DEMAR standards.
- System Integration: Troubleshooting and functional testing of advanced avionics, navigation, and communication systems.
- Quality Leadership: Acting as a technical mentor and supervisor for maintenance teams to ensure the highest safety standards.
- Strategic Maintenance: Performing complex assembly and retrofitting on serial production or military-specific upgrades.
Requirements
- Licensing: You hold a valid EASA Part-66 CAT B2 license (candidates currently in the final stages of obtaining their license are also encouraged to apply).
- Education: Completed vocational training in aircraft electronics/avionics, ideally supplemented by a Master Craftsman (Meister), Technician, or Bachelor’s degree.
- Expertise: Solid experience in aviation maintenance or assembly. Familiarity with DEMAR or EASA regulations is a plus.
- Mindset: You have a keen eye for detail and a "safety first" mentality.
- Communication: Fluent in either German or English.
Extra Credit: If you already hold Type Ratings for Airbus products or have experience in Quality Inspection, we definitely want to talk to you.
Benefits
- Top-Tier Compensation: A highly competitive salary package that exceeds industry standards, including attractive special payments.
- Real Work-Life Balance: A standard 35–40 hour week (Mon–Fri) with no shift work and 30 days of vacation.
- The Airbus Academy: Airbus invests in you. Get your Type Ratings and advanced technical certifications on the house.
- Relocation & Mobility: Full support if you move for the job, plus travel allowances and modern bike/car leasing options.
- Locations: Choose your base from our hubs across Germany (e.g., Donauwörth, Kassel-Calden, Nordholz, Bückeburg, and more).
