Palma Coliving is a dynamic, fast-growing brand transforming the coliving, flex-living, and boutique hotel industries. Established 5 years ago, we have been recognized as the Best Nomad Coliving for the last three consecutive years and are now proudly operating in 3 cities with 4 properties. Our mission is to create community-driven spaces where remote workers, entrepreneurs, and digital nomads thrive. With a focus on high-end, personalized service and wellness, we're positioning ourselves as the leader in premium, multi-location coliving experiences across Europe. We're seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join us on this exciting journey of growth (scale-up), transformation, and innovation to reach up to 700 bedrooms in 5 years.

Location: Flexible Remote, with travel to our European locations required

Tasks

The Role:
As COO, you will be at the forefront of driving the operational excellence that underpins Palma Coliving’s ambitious expansion. You will manage all aspects of operations, with a deep focus on profitability, capital partnerships, and strategic growth. With your experience in hospitality, coliving, and boutique hotel management, you will bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table while ensuring a seamless and high-level guest experience across all locations. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring a human-centred approach to team management, with an unwavering focus on profitability and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Human-Centered Leadership: Lead with empathy and inclusivity, ensuring team happiness and high performance by fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and customer focus.
  • Profitability & Strategic Planning: Drive operational efficiencies that contribute directly to the profitability of the business while developing long-term strategic plans to expand Palma Coliving across Europe.
  • Capital Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with capital partners and investors to secure funding for property acquisitions and developments.
  • Forecasting & Projections: Lead forecasting, financial projections, and contract negotiation to ensure the successful launch of new properties, keeping both profitability and operational excellence in mind.
  • Team Coordination & Growth: Coordinate all teams from real estate acquisition to property setup and operative growth, ensuring the efficient execution of every stage of the expansion. Recruiting the new staff for each new property.
  • Innovative Lead Magnet Channels: Develop and implement innovative channels to drive high occupancy across all locations and enhance guest loyalty.
  • Personalized Service & Experiences: Ensure that every guest enjoys a unique, personalized experience, reflecting our commitment to high-quality service and wellness-focused offerings.
  • Multi-Cultural Management: Expand Palma Coliving outside of spain: lead a diverse, multi-lingual remote & on-site team, adapting to new cultures and motivating others to perform to their best capabilities. Cultivate a customer-focused environment that brings out the best in every team member.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in coliving, flex-living, boutique hotel management, or premium hospitality within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
  • Proven ability to drive profitability and lead strategic initiatives in high-growth hospitality businesses, with extensive experience in advisory services, acquisitions, asset management, and financing. References will be required.
  • A creative, “out of the box” thinker who can innovate, improve upon existing models, and implement cutting-edge service concepts.
  • A deep understanding of wellness hospitality and a passion for creating personalized, premium guest experiences.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate diverse teams and foster a positive, human-centered work culture.
  • Strong experience in fundraising and strategic partnership, adapting to new cultures and building relationships across borders.
