Optotune Switzerland AG is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Slovakia and Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets. Optotune’s vision is to enable our customers to create innovative products by providing them with unique optical components.

As an Application Engineer you are the key ingredient to getting our products integrated by customers. From a feasibility study in the lab to intense debugging at the customer site, it is your job to understand the application and find pragmatic solutions.

Tasks

• Customer consulting & technical support
• Carrying out of feasibility studies
• Writing of technical adds, reports and datasheets
• Close interaction with local Electronics, Firmware and Software Team (EFS)
• Collaboration with external sales representatives
• Participation in trade shows and customer visits

Requirements

• Technical background required (MSc or equivalent in engineering or physics)
• At least 3 years of working experience in the optics, electronics or software industry
• Practical programming skills (e.g. C, C#, Python) are required
• Ability to understand customer requirements and propose practical solutions
• Friendly and open-minded nature, ability to build & maintain relationships
• Results oriented personality, well organized, autonomous and prepared to travel internationally
• Proficiency in English, good level of Slovak (other languages advantageous)
