As Business Development Manager, you will be the bridge between market demand and optical innovation: spotting trends before they peak, uncovering fresh use-cases for our current portfolio, shaping the roadmap for next-generation products, and partnering with our sales team to turn opportunities into sustainable growth. In short, thrive by translating technical potential into real-world value.
Tasks
- Strategic development of Optotune’s business in laser applications
- Acquisition of new customers worldwide
- Market research & definition of new products
- Creation of sales & training materials, business plans and go-to-market strategies
- Content creation for marketing materials
- Participation in trade shows
Requirements
- Must have technical background (MSc or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in optics/photonics
- Experience in management consulting advantageous
- Ability to identify new customers, build up & maintain relationships
- Ability to understand customers' technical requirements and suggest solutions
- Passion for technology & innovation, winning personality, well organized, autonomous and prepared to travel internationally
- Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of German, other languages advantageous
- Good working knowledge in MS Office applications
