Your main tasks

Work with an experienced Sales Leader to support and grow further an already established, high-performing sales area!

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Sales Manager to join our team and assist in expanding an established and successful sales area. Working closely with the Sales Director, you will play a key role in driving further growth and success within this well-established region, leveraging existing customer relationships and building new ones.

  • Customer Acquisition: Assist in proactively identifying and acquiring new customers, contributing to the expansion of the customer portfolio and continued growth in the region.
  • Customer Consulting & Business development: Learn the ropes of technical sales and work alongside the Sales Director by assisting in providing expert advice to potential and existing customers, developing tailored CAD/CAM solutions to meet their needs.
  • Product Presentations: Support in organizing and attending product presentations delivered by our application engineers, showcasing the capabilities of our CAD/CAM products in real-world applications.
  • Event Representation: Represent OPEN MIND at trade fairs and events, building new contacts, maintaining relationships, and increasing the company’s visibility and success.
  • Long-Term Customer Loyalty: Assist in maintaining and strengthening long-term customer relationships, contributing to customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Learn and support the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to closing deals my mastering CRM Management and Sales Administration, preparing quotes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Application Engineers and the Sales Director to ensure the best solutions are proposed to customers.
  • Reporting: Report on activities and results, gaining insights into sales strategies and progress.

Your profile

  • Experience: You may have some experience in sales or customer management, ideally in technical fields, or you are eager to start your career in sales. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and grow in a technical sales environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: A basic understanding of CAD/CAM, technical processes, and manufacturing technologies is preferred, with a strong desire to build technical sales expertise.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an understandable way.
    • Strong negotiation skills, with a focus on long-term relationship building.
    • Goal-oriented and proactive, with a hunter mentality to drive growth.
    • Independent and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively with the team.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with technology to accurately update and manage CRM data
  • Location: Bicester
  • Driving: UK driving license and flexibility for UK travel.
