As the Community development and Resiliences building advisor at OlamAid, you will play a crucial advisory role within the professional department, providing advanced guidance in leadership, integration, community mobilization, and resilience building. You will play a key leadership role in shaping future strategies and methodologies and support current activities. and developing new methodologies.

Position size: part-time – 15 hours/month
Tasks
- Provide high-level technical and strategic guidance to project teams focused on group facilitation, community development, and resilience-building.
- Provide individual support to all team members in this area
- Collaborate with programmatic staff to design and optimize work plans, ensuring all deliverables are practical, measurable, and aligned with OlamAid’s mission.
- Conduct occasional travel to support field teams and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organization.
- Work in close collaboration with colleagues in the Professional Department and other organizational units, under the supervision of the Professional Department Manager.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Human Sciences, Social Work, International Relations, Disaster Management) preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in community development, group facilitation, or similar, with a strong background in resilience-building projects.
- Proficient in global humanitarian assistance and development trends, with a deep understanding of community resilience frameworks.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, with a mature and self-driven personality.
- Demonstrated experience in training and mentoring teams, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
