Our magic starts with our data foundation: licensing bodies and registers, talent profiles, contact info, software to engage with them, and signals that come through that tell recruiters when the best time to engage with those candidates is. We currently cover and publish information on 10 million healthcare professionals to hit 100m in 2024!

As a founding engineer, you should be self-motivated and passionate about joining an early-stage startup tackling a massive market. We're looking for people who want to have large ownership and work closely with customers to build products that they'll love.

You'll be working with the founder and CEO and will design and implement our high-scale, data-intensive platform.

We are looking for someone who is an autodidact, thinks before coding, ambitious, independent, results-driven, data-oriented, organised, and a team player. You will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to operate strategically while also focusing on the details to achieve your goals.

• 3+ years experience in designing and implementing server-side Data solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems or a similar field (preferable, not necessary)
• 5+ years of programming experience, preferably in Python and SQL.
• Experience implementing algorithmic solutions, data mining techniques, and analytical methodologies to extract insights from complex datasets.
• Strong experience in extracting, ingesting, and transforming large datasets efficiently and accurately.
• Proficiency in working with various types of databases (relational, document storage, key-value, time-series), including a deep understanding of their query languages and when to utilise each type effectively.
• Hands-on experience working within the AWS ecosystem, including AWS S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, and Athena.
• Ability to use orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm to manage and automate data workflows effectively.
• Familiarity with Data Lake architectures and Apache Spark is advantageous.
• Experience utilising enterprise data warehousing systems such as Redshift or Snowflake to store and analyse large datasets.
• Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, DataBricks, and Jenkins is advantageous for building robust data pipelines.
• Experience working with various database engines, including ElasticSearch, Redis, Postgres, and MySQL, is highly desirable.
