We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Event Manager to help bring Nextcloud to the global stage through exceptional event experiences. As part of our Global Event & Partner Marketing team, you will take the lead on delivering high-impact event programs — from large-scale company-owned events to industry conferences —
that build visibility, drive engagement, and support our global growth.
Tasks
- Plan, organize, and execute events end-to-end — including major company events,
international conferences, and partner-driven activations - Collaborate with the team lead to shape and scale our global event strategy
- Curate event content, manage agendas, and coordinate speakers and keynotes to ensure engaging and relevant experiences Lead multi-channel event promotion efforts in coordination with Marketing and Communications
- Align event goals and messaging with broader business objectives by working
cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams - Manage all event logistics including budgeting, scheduling, venue selection, vendor
coordination, staffing, and on-site execution - Represent Nextcloud at global trade shows, conferences, and partner events
- Adapt and localize event formats for different regions, cultures, and audiences
- Track event performance, gather attendee feedback, and continuously improve
future initiatives
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in event management, ideally within a global B2B or tech
environment - Proven success in organizing and executing international events across virtual,
hybrid, and in-person formats - Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple events
simultaneously - Experience with tools like Eventbrite, HubSpot, or similar event and marketing platforms
- Creative mindset and eye for detail in crafting standout event experiences
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with excellent communication and
collaboration skills - Strong analytical abilities to measure impact and ROI of events
- Fluency in English is required; German or French is highly desirable, other languages are a plus
