Python Backend Engineer – Marketplaces & Core Systems (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Design and develop scalable services to replace legacy components of our Django monolith
• Implement DDD and hexagonal architecture principles to create robust and maintainable systems
• Develop and optimize interfaces (REST and Google PubSub) for efficient communication between services
• Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment with business goals
• Identify technical debt, and implement strategies to modernize our infrastructure and codebase
• Take ownership of your work, engage in agile ceremonies, and share your expertise within the team and company
• Have a direct impact on a sustainable and financially stable company

Your profile

• Several years of experience with Python, ideally using Django or FastAPI in a working environment
• Proven experience with distributed systems and cloud technologies, preferably on Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of best practices around real-time messaging (e.g., Google PubSub) and REST APIs
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments
• Passion for testing, clean architecture, and clean code
• Experience with modernizing legacy systems and reducing technical debt
• Fluent in English and excellent communication skills for discussions and code reviews
