We are looking for a Petfood Business Development Manager to help us grow our presence in the pet nutrition market. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to gain commercial ownership of a high-potential segment while learning from seasoned commercial leadership.
You’ll focus on building customer and distributor relationships, managing early sales pipelines, and supporting the execution of our petfood go-to-market strategy.
Tasks
Market Engagement & Sales Execution
- Identify and engage prospective customers in the petfood industry.
- Support in converting leads into commercial partnerships — from first contact through deal closure.
- Prepare and deliver tailored product presentations and samples with technical support from internal teams.
Customer Success & Relationship Management
- Build lasting relationships by understanding customer needs and acting as their internal advocate.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and post-sale satisfaction in coordination with operations and technical teams.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Research trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to help shape MicroHarvest’s petfood positioning.
- Provide insights to support pricing, product development, and marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in petfood sales, ideally bringing an existing network in the industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management or related fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Comfortable navigating technical products and translating them into business value.
- Proactive, self-starting, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Fluent in English;
- Willingness to travel (~20–30%), including outside of Europe.
