Senior Software Engineer (Frontend/Backend)

We've developed the first content creation software made specifically for brand communication. Mate empowers anyone to create individual graphics, animations or videos without having to pay attention to corporate design - because Mate is brand-safe at all times. Started in 2021, more than 60 strong brands like Daimler Truck, BASF, Thyssenkrupp, UNICEF, Engel & Völkers, LBS etc. are now using our software. 💜

Currently, we are looking for reinforcement in our software development team as we need more smart brains to accelerate company growth with growing value for our customers. You will be part of and overall work very closely with our team of 17!

• developing new features full-stack - if you have a certain focus on frontend or backend that’s great as well
• developing well-structured backend services and working on database design
• building component-based frontend structures with a great UX
• solving code problems in smaller groups as a team
• reviewing your teammate's code
• mentoring/guiding other devs on your team
• coding with high standards (code quality, best practices)

• enthusiastic about building a highly scalable SaaS product with a huge impact on the global software ecosystem
• holistic skill set in software engineering (frontend or backend focus are great as well)
• 3-5 years of experience are nice but doesn’t matter if you bring the skills
• deep knowledge of TypeScript & GraphQL
• relational databases (ideally Postgres) & working with an ORM
• ideally experience in any modern JS Framework (React, Vue, Svelte, or similar)
• team player & coaching experience of more junior developers
• experience in reviewing code with high engineering standards
• focus on usability and UX (we build Mate through the eyes of our customers)
• located +/- 3 hours from CET timezone
