Robotics Software Engineer (f/m/x) Manipulation

Your tasks

As part of the Perception & Grasping team, you will work on developing and implementing robotic systems.

  • You work in close cooperation with a team of experts on improving our robots' manipulation and perception system
  • You develop and optimize algorithms for trajectory planning and execution for robot manipulation, to improve speed and reduce error rates
  • You develop algorithms for the robot perception and manipulation behaviors
  • Conduct simulations and real-world tests to validate the functionality and efficiency of robotic systems
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge

Requirements

  • You finished your Master or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable studies
  • You have hands-on experience with robots (ROS)
  • You have 3+ years of relevant experience developing perception and manipulation algorithms
  • You can write production-ready code in C++ and Python
  • You have some experience in the integration and calibration of various optical sensors in a ROS-based system
  • Ideally you have
    • … experience working in a team that has shipped products
    • … experience with machine learning methods
  • You are proficient in English, some German knowledge is a plus
